Due Attention Should Be Given To Spelling
Correct spelling is a basic skill in English study. However, nowadays many students do not pay much attention to it,
,
They have their own reasons for misspelling. First of all, they like an easy way of studying, which causes some omissions and changes in spelling. Second, the teachers might not be very strict in students’ spelling. In China, teachers seem to be more concerned with grammar and vocabulary but not spelling。
To change this situation, in my opinion, the teachers and the students should work together. On one hand, the teachers should give more attention to students’ spelling, asking the students to be conscious of the importance of correct spelling from the very beginning of their English study. On the other hand, the students themselves are supposed to be aware that correct spelling is a must in English study。
To sum up, correct spelling is so important that both students and the teachers should spare no efforts to achieve correct spelling。
As we all know, life is full of ups and downs. Sometimes, no matter how hard we try, things just don't seem to go our way. At other times, we excel beyond our wildest dreams. It's in these moments that we need to remember the importance of having a strong work ethic and never giving up. Today, I would like to share with you some personal experiences and insights that have helped me stay motivated and driven, even in the toughest of times.
When I was growing up, my parents emphasized the importance of hard work and perseverance. They instilled in me the belief that I could achieve anything I set my mind to, as long as I was willing to put in the time and effort. This lesson has stayed with me throughout my life and has been the foundation for my success.
One of the most challenging times in my life was when I decided to pursue a career that was not the norm for someone with my background. I come from a family of scientists and doctors, and my parents had always hoped I would follow in their footsteps. But deep down, I knew my passion and talents lay in the arts. So, I made the difficult decision to pursue a degree in fine arts.
At first, it was tough. I had to work extra hard to catch up with my peers, who had been studying art for years. I spent long hours in the studio, often sacrificing time with my friends and family to perfect my craft. But with each painting I completed, each drawing I perfected, I felt a sense of accomplishment and pride.
Eventually, my hard work paid off, and I was accepted into one of the most prestigious fine arts programs in the country. Today, I am a successful artist, and my work has been exhibited in galleries all over the world. I share this story not to brag, but to inspire others who may be facing similar challenges.
The key to success, in my opinion, is to never give up. No matter how hard things may seem, keep pushing forward. Some of the greatest achievements in history were accomplished by people who faced seemingly insurmountable obstacles but refused to give up.
Another important lesson I have learned over the years is to focus on the present moment. It's easy to get caught up in worrying about the future or dwelling on past mistakes, but doing so only distracts us from the work we need to do now. By staying focused on the present, we can make the most of every opportunity that comes our way.
Finally, I believe it's important to surround yourself with people who support and encourage you. Life is too short to waste time on people who bring you down or undermine your dreams. Seek out those who inspire you and push you to be your best self.
In conclusion, life is full of challenges, but with hard work, perseverance, and a strong support system, we can overcome even the toughest obstacles. I challenge you to embrace your passions, stay focused on the present, and surround yourself with positive people. Remember, anything is possible if you believe in yourself and never give up. Thank you.
Good afternoon everyone!
Today, I am here to talk about my favorite topic - food. Food is an essential part of our lives, and it brings people together from different cultures and backgrounds. As the saying goes, "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach."
Food is not only necessary for survival but can also be a source of pleasure. We all have our favorite cuisines that excite our taste buds and leave us wanting more. As an avid food lover, I have tried various types of cuisine and delicacies. However, there are a few dishes that I can't get enough of.
Firstly, let's talk about Chinese cuisine. I love the diverse flavors and ingredients used in Chinese cooking. Whether it is spicy Sichuan cuisine or delicate dim sum from Guangdong, Chinese cuisine never disappoints. One of my favorite dishes is hot pot, which involves cooking meat and vegetables in a boiling pot of delicious broth. The dipping sauces that accompany the hot pot are the cherry on top, adding a burst of flavor to the already delicious dish.
Secondly, I cannot forget about Italian cuisine. The simplicity and freshness of its ingredients make Italian food so delicious. Who can resist a slice of authentic Italian pizza or a plate of creamy pasta? One of my all-time favorite dishes is the classic spaghetti carbonara, which consists of spaghetti, pancetta, eggs, and Parmesan cheese. The creaminess and saltiness of the dish are a match made in heaven.
Lastly, let's talk about the sweet stuff because who doesn't love dessert? One of the most heavenly desserts out there is the French classic - crème br?lée. This dessert, consisting of rich custard topped with a crispy caramelized sugar layer, melts in your mouth and leaves you feeling satisfied and content.
Food is not just about filling our bellies; it is also about creating memories and experiences. The smell of freshly baked bread or the sizzling sounds of a BBQ can bring back fond memories of family gatherings or trips abroad.
In conclusion, food is not just something we consume three times a day. It is a vital part of our lives that brings people together, creates lasting memories, and evokes emotions. Whether it is a steaming bowl of hot soup on a cold winter's day or an iced coffee to cool you down in the summer, food is an essential part of our lives that we should appreciate and enjoy every day.
Thank you for listening!
I feel that this award was not made to me as a man but to my work -- a life's work in the agony and sweat of the human spirit not for glory and least of all for profit but to create out of the materials of the human spirit something which did not exist before.
I feel that this award was not made to me as a man but to my work -- a life's work in the agony and sweat of the human spirit not for glory and least of all for profit but to create out of the materials of the human spirit something which did not exist before. So this award is only mine in trust. It will not be difficult to find a dedication for the money part of it commensurate with the purpose and significance of its origin. But I would like to do the same with the acclaim too by using this moment as a pinnacle from which I might be listened to by the young men and women already dedicated to the same anguish and travail among whom is already that one who will some day stand here where I am standing.
Our tragedy today is a general and universal physical fear so long sustained by now that we can even bear it. There are no longer problems of the spirit. There is only the question: When will I be blown up? Because of this the young man or woman writing today has forgotten the problems of the human heart in conflict with itself which alone can make good writing because only that is worth writing about worth the agony and the sweat.
He must learn them again. He must teach himself that the basest of all things is to be afraid; and teaching himself that forget it forever leaving no room in his workshop for anything but the old verities and truths of the heart the old universal truths lacking which any story is ephemeral and doomed -- love and honor and pity and pride and compassion and sacrifice. Until he does so he labors under a curse. He writes not of love but of lust of defeats in which nobody loses anything of value of victories without hope and worst of all without pity or compassion. His griefs grieve on no universal bones leaving no scars. He writes not of the heart but of the glands.
Until he relearns these things he will write as though he stood among and watched the end of man. I decline to accept the end of man. It is easy enough to say that man is immortal simply because he will endure: that when the last ding-dong of doom has clanged and faded from the last worthless rock hanging tideless in the last red and dying evening that even then there will still be one more sound: that of his puny inexhaustible voice still talking. I refuse to accept this. I believe that man will not merely endure: he will prevail. He is immortal not because he alone among creatures has an inexhaustible voice but because he has a soul a spirit capable of compassion and sacrifice and endurance.
The poet’s the writer's duty is to write about these things. It is his privilege to help man endure by lifting his heart by reminding him of the courage and honor and hope and pride and compassion and pity and sacrifice which have been the glory of his past. The poet's voice need not merely be the record of man it can be one of the props the pillars to help him endure and prevail.
Good afternoon, everyone. Today I would like to talk to you about one of my favorite topics: food.
Food is not only essential for our survival, but it also plays an important role in our culture and social life. Food can bring people together, and it can also be a source of comfort and joy. When we think of food, we often think of our favorite dishes and the memories associated with them.
In my opinion, one of the best things about food is its diversity. There are countless cuisines and flavors to explore, each with their unique history and traditions. From Italian pasta to Indian curry, from Thai street food to French pastries, there is always a new dish to try and enjoy.
Personally, I am particularly fond of Chinese food. As a Chinese-American, I grew up eating many different kinds of Chinese dishes, both at home and in restaurants. Chinese food is known for its bold flavors, use of fresh ingredients, and balance of textures. From spicy Sichuan dishes to delicate Cantonese dim sum, Chinese cuisine has something to offer for everyone.
In recent years, Chinese food has become increasingly popular around the world. More and more people are discovering the joys of eating dumplings, hotpot, and baozi. However, like any cuisine, Chinese food is best enjoyed when it is prepared and served authentically. This means using the right ingredients, following traditional recipes, and understanding the cultural context behind each dish.
For me, the best way to experience Chinese food is by cooking it myself. Not only does it give me a chance to hone my culinary skills, but it also allows me to connect with my heritage and learn more about my culture. There is something deeply satisfying about creating a dish from scratch and sharing it with others.
In conclusion, food is much more than just a source of nutrition. It is an important part of our cultural heritage, a means of socializing and bonding, and a way to express our creativity and personality. Whether we seek comfort in our favorite dishes or adventure in new flavors, food will always be a vital part of our lives. Thank you for listening.
